Halo 3

Before I go I just have say “OH MY GOD HALO THREE COMES OUT TOMMORROW!!!”

Adrenaline rush!

Ouch

Ok… A test tube exploded in my hand when I was trying to put ice in it, and, well, now I can’t really use my left hand. This will probably the last post until I can get it working again… It’s wierd though, it only started hurting after I washed it, took out the shards of glass from out of my hand and put on bandages! Adrenaline sure does wierd stuff.

Yeh, also yesterday, before the test tube exploded I fixed up the site and undid my lazy domain name redirection and actually moved all my stuff over to the new domain. It is now officially www.killcoder.info!

YourVoice

I just joined the YourVoice panel, where I do surveys and get e-points which I can spend on stuff like iTunes vouchers and stuff like that!

I’m just one survey away from getting another $20 into my iTunes account!!!

To join you need to go to the YourVoice website and join, and guess what, cause I am referring you we both get extra points!!

So Click here and start doing surveys!!

More site updates

I’ve added in a cool thumbnail kinda thing for external links. It uses WebStapr to display a screenshot of the page you the link points to!

Some Examples

Google

garry’s blog

Wikipedia

Michael’s Blog

Blackle

It’s kinda annoying to have to have the text “Powered by WEBSNAPR.COM” on every I generate… I get sued if I don’t so meh.

Site updates

Well I was bored waiting for my Garry’s Mod debugging script was working so I finished off some updates for the site… I’ve said bye bye to light box and hello to my image script that is much better! It uses mootools and is really lightweight.

  • It’s ready to launch as soon as the document is ready. This means that you don’t have to wait for all images of the page to be loaded before clicking on a link launching the effect.
  • The left and right arrow keys can be used to navigate through images, and the ESC key can be used to close the image
  • The dark background overlay can be clicked anywhere to close the image, even on the parts located on the left and right of the image.
  • The script is much more robust; for example you can try to start-stop the effect very quickly to interrupt the animation then resume it and you won’t notice any bug like in the original Lightbox where sometimes the animation stops or the captions are wrongly sized.
  • The script temporary hides flash animations and other embedded videos while it is open to avoid display bugs in some browsers.

I will post more about the updates in a sec… Garry’s Mod will be ready in like 5 minutes…
